New International PPP Platform launched in Turkey |

 An International PPP Platform has been launched in Turkey and has received backing from the British Consulate's trade and investment branch in the country.
In an effort to promote PPPs in Turkey, the platform is expected to provide a neutral place for private sector firms that want to take on government bids for public infrastructure. With support from the IFSL (International Financial Services, London) the International PPP Platform will support the implemention of projects and will assist the development of PPPs. The British Consulate has so far been supporting PPPs in Turkey through seminars and discussions at the ministerial level. The formation of a PPP association is seen as a crucial step towards providing an environment in which the government can engage with private sector players at both policy and project development stages. Trade between Turkey and Britain has grown 10 per cent annually in recent years, and there are currently many companies that work on PPP projects in the UK that have offices in Turkey.
